Benjamin Horne is a financial and operational executive with more than 30 years of experience helping nonprofits, community organizations, and businesses strengthen their finances, improve operations, and build sustainable foundations for growth.

Throughout his career, Ben has led organizations through periods of transition, expansion, and organizational change. Most recently, as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the Union Square Business Improvement District, he helped guide the organization's growth from a $1 million budget in 2009 to more than $12 million in 2025. He oversaw finance, administration, human resources, technology, and operations, and played a leadership role in securing more than $60 million in funding for the district's next 10-year term.

As Founder and Principal of Horne Services, Ben provides financial, administrative, and operational consulting to nonprofits, small businesses, startups, and mission-driven organizations throughout the Bay Area and Napa Valley. His work includes budgeting and forecasting, audit preparation, financial reporting, compliance, governance support, operational improvement, and interim financial leadership.

Ben began his career in public accounting and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Iowa.
